Grants: -

  • Grant approved to streamline HBAS operational systems to enable the organisation to sustainably deliver a broad range of servicesd (Classes, Workshops, Demonstrations and member communications)

    • Set up new Financial systems.

    • Refining our utilisation of JotForm and linking with our financial systems to enable online payments (paid exhibition entries & other events).

    • State of the Art Management Data base. Renewal systems, invoicing.

    • New website development.

Fund Raising: -

  • Altona Bunnings Sausage Sizzle.

Hobsons Bay City Council & HBAS Association: -

  • 3 Free Entry and use of Facilities for 3 Art Exhibitions.

  • Facilitate 8x Free Monthly Art Activities for the Community.

  • Host 5 full day workshops at Woods Street Arts Space.

  • Major sponsor for our acclaimed 5 x 7 Exhibition.

Exhibitions & Activities: -

  • 10 curated exhibitions at Hobsons Bay Civic Centre and Louis Joel Art Gallery.

  • 5 Full day workshops at Woods Street Arts Space.

  • 10 Monthly Art Activity/demonstration nights at LJAC with varied tutors .

  • LJAC Foyer exhibitions ‘4 Elements of Nature’.

  • Held the 1st Middle School Art Exhibition ‘My Canvas, My Art’ to showcase emerging artists in Hobsons Bay schools.

  • Held the Open Exhibition ‘5x7 Art Prize’ successfully

  • ‘Annual Members’ Showcase’ and ‘Learning Curve’ exhibitions to highlight the excellent standard of work produced in our many classes/sessions.

Courses & Classes: -

  • 7 art classes and social art groups per week (averaging around 650 annually).

  • Tuesday evening class focussing on cartoons, animation and caricatures.

  • 4 x Thursday Evening classes per year with varied art focus.

  • ‘Plein Air’ painting every 3rd Saturday of the month – members only.

    Arty Crafty Christmas Party
